Before we use any of our furs
we get them tanned and then
we have to stretch each fur.  To
stretch them we use a leather
conditioner and wet the hide
and then staple them to a board.
Here is a picture of me and
Brianne stretching some sea
otter skins, and then Kiley trying
to help take them off when they
are dried and done.
The next step is making the
right pattern andcutting out
the furs and material. Then to
make our products we do a lot
of hand sewing as well as
using a fur machine. Here is a
picture of me making a
blanket on the fur machine.
And Kiley likes to pretend to
use it too. We will teach her
soon enough though!
After the fur sewing is done we
put in the lining and finishing
touches and the products are
done! Here is a picture of me and
Brianne sewing the back on a
blanket and then little Kiley Rae
playing with her sea otter teddy
bears. She loves all our fur
products and especially her
teddy bears!!!
First we get our furs from
local hunters or go out and
get them on our own . We use
the meat, fur, and fat from the
seals. We practice
sustainable harvest and try to
get the larger males. We
respect the animals we use
and  show them this is in the
way they are treated and the
quality we put into our work.
